Who We Are

The Cal Poly Humboldt Makerspace is here to help you create video, audio, photo, and web-based projects. The Makerspace computer lab has software and computers that are great for video editing and other projects that require processing power. Available whenever the library is open, this lab is located in room 122 in the far southeast corner of the first floor to the left of the ITS Help Desk and the printers.

We also have digital media equipment available at the checkout desk which students, staff and faculty can borrow for 3 days. We also offer in-person SkillShops and online at-your-own-pace Canvas SkillShops to help you with a variety of projects, from video to academic posters. And everything is free!

Video

• Borrow DSLRs, camcorders, 360-degree cameras, tripods, and more!

Audio

• Borrow USB mics, lapel mics, shotgun mics, and digital recorders to capture quality audio.

Makerspace

• Work with physical making, including 3D printing, music editing, collage, zine-making, vinyl cutting and more.

Virtual reality (VR)

• Borrow our Meta Quest headsets to explore at home or use our VR Station to create your own project.
