OneSearch Help

This guide serves as a help page for navigating OneSearch. It describes the contents of OneSearch, tips and tricks for advanced searching, and information on how to get help with your research.

Known Issues

Occasionally a resource will appear as though they are unavailable, when you should have access to it. This happens especially with full-text links to electronic books and articles. The Library recommends the following to troubleshoot:

  • Copy the permalink of the resource and open in a different browser. If the link works, it means you will need to clear cache/cookies in your preferred browser. Note that this may impact saved passwords and autofill forms.
  • Check the database of the resource to see if we are supposed to have access to it. Occasionally, our license on an item has expired and it may take a few days for the system to update its status.
  • When off-campus, you may need to access resources via a VPN, or a virtual private network. For help getting set up through the campus VPN, visit ITS.
  • Submit a Problem Report. You can submit a problem report directly in the record of the item, or you can send us an email. Please include a link to the resource in your message and a small description of the problem.
