OneSearch Help

This guide serves as a help page for navigating OneSearch. It describes the contents of OneSearch, tips and tricks for advanced searching, and information on how to get help with your research.

What am I Searching?

The Library Catalog, OneSearch, provides access to over 350,000,000 research sources and counting, including books, book chapters, peer-reviewed articles, DVDs and CDs, government documents, newspapers, and much more. This search includes content from multiple sources, including open-access repositories, and most of the databases which Cal Poly Humboldt Library subscribes to. (For a complete list of our subscription and open access databases, see our A-Z Database List.) Don't forget, this is the one place you can find our print books from our stacks!

Request from Libraries Worldwide

When you need more than you can find in our collections, you can expand your search to include other libraries. Requesting materials has never been easier and is available to current students, faculty, and staff at no extra cost. If you're located more than 50 miles away from the library, you can request items be sent to your preferred address, however we request that all others pick up materials at the library circulation desk.

If you're looking for more specialized, discipline-specific information, search one of our subject databases or the research guide for your subject.
