Hall of Simulation

The Hall of Simulation is the Library’s dedicated space for learning environments that use simulation technologies.

A Cessna in the Library!

The GTX Max Flight Simulator is a state of the art simulator that allows learners to gain familiarity and operate the controls of a Cessna 172/182 exactly as they would in a real cockpit. With multiple screens and three dedicated computers, the simulator provides users with a professional-grade flight experience.

The GTX Max A.A.T.D replicates the cockpit of a Cessna 172/182 so learners can get firsthand experience flying a plane of that make. All of the controls, displays, and systems function just as they would in the real aircraft. As an FAA approved flight simulator, learners in the company of an instructor can apply hours spent on this device to getting their pilot license.

Displays

This flight simulator is designed to allow prospective pilots to gain experience with instrument-based flight. This type of training focuses on getting users acquainted with the controls, building muscle memory, and to conduct flight procedures in low-visibility environments. This type of training is normally costly, even when using other simulators! By providing this equipment here in the library we are furthering the accessibility of various learning technologies.
