Sustainability Academics/Research at Cal Poly Humboldt

The Library is certified sustainable with the Sustainable Libraries Initiative

Cal Poly Humboldt is one of a handful of academic libraries to have completed this process. This work is supportive of Library development and campus academics/research for sustainability. Sustainability is nuanced - environmentally sound, socially just, economically feasible elements are considered with the following frameworks and concepts in mind - ACRL FrameworksIntersectional Environmentalism17 Principles of Environmental JusticeJust Transitions Framework, UN SDGs, true costs, indigenous lens, climate resilience, equity centering, and a kinship with nature. Many thanks go to the Library and the Emeritus & Retired Faculty & Staff Association for funding these efforts.
