The Anatomage Table offers users the ability to explore human anatomy in a virtual format. Users are able to choose from 4 different photorealistic cadavers that were recreated from actual human cadavers by serially sectioning the bodies at 0.2 mm intervals and then imaging the sections. The end-product is a wonderfully detailed human body recreation, the likes of which have never been seen before. See below for more information on the virtual cadaver creation process.
In addition to anatomy, the Anatomage Table has life-like physiological recreations that teach users how the individual body systems function, something that can't be recreated on a real cadaver. View how the heart contracts to pump blood throughout the body. View how muscles contract and relax during running. Another feature of the Anatomage Table is a case library with 1000+ MRI and CT scans of every system of the body and every medical specialty. View MRI and CT scans of an individual who has had a lower leg amputation. View images of an ectopic pregnancy where you can see the baby growing outside of the mother's uterus. These features, and many more, make the Anatomage Table 8 a comprehensive anatomy and physiology learning tool.
