Recreation Administration Research Guide

A guide for conducting research in the field of Recreation Administration

OneSearch

OneSearch, available from the Library's home page, is the best place to look for both print and ebooks. If the library doesn't have the book you need, expand your search to include all CSU library catalogs and request it via Resource Sharing/Interlibrary Loan. Keep in mind that most of the newer books that the library has are available in ebook format, which can also be located using OneSearch.

Subject Headings

Subject Headings are a great way to find books on your topic in OneSearch

1. First, do a simple keyword search on your topic and limit to Resource Type > Books

2. Second, click on the book's title and scroll down to Subjects

3. Click on any of the subjects to be taken to other books assigned that same subject heading.

Interlibrary Loan

Didn't Find What You Were Looking For? Request It From Another Library.

Interlibrary Loan, or ILL, allows you to access items from around the world that can't be found at the Cal Poly Humboldt Library or are currently not available. Place a request and you'll be notified via email when the item is available.

The first time you use interlibrary loan, you may be required to register. Go to the Resource Sharing Request form to get started.
